Terms of Service

These terms apply to Tuki: AI Sales Agent Chatbot ("Tuki", "the app", "we", "us"), provided by Tuki AI. By installing or using Tuki you (the merchant) agree to them. If you use Tuki for a business, you confirm you can accept these terms on its behalf.

1. The service

Tuki adds an AI sales assistant, a shared inbox and related tools to your Shopify store. Features depend on your plan and may change as we improve the app; we'll tell you about changes that reduce what a paid plan includes.

2. Your account

  • You install Tuki through Shopify, and your use of Shopify is also governed by Shopify's own terms.
  • You're responsible for the people you invite to your team and for keeping your access secure.
  • You must give accurate store information and keep any contact details up to date.

3. Plans, billing and credits

  • Paid plans are billed by Shopify, in US dollars, on your Shopify invoice — monthly or yearly as you choose.
  • The first paid plan includes a free trial; you're not charged if you cancel before it ends.
  • You can change or cancel your plan at any time from Plans & billing, or by uninstalling. Shopify prorates plan changes.
  • Tuki AI credit packs are one-time purchases. Credits don't expire and aren't refundable, except where the law or Shopify's policies require it.
  • If you use your own AI provider key, that provider bills you directly under its own terms; Tuki doesn't charge for that usage.
  • We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from your next billing period.

4. AI answers

Tuki answers from your store's data and the knowledge you add, and checks its replies so it doesn't state prices, part numbers or discounts that aren't in your store. AI can still make mistakes. You're responsible for your products, prices, policies and the information you give Tuki, and for reviewing important answers. Tuki's replies aren't professional, legal or safety advice.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Tuki to:

  • break any law, or sell prohibited or illegal goods;
  • send spam or unsolicited marketing, or add people to marketing lists without their consent;
  • mislead, harass or discriminate against customers;
  • try to break, overload, reverse-engineer or get around the limits and security of the app;
  • collect payment card details or other sensitive data through the chat.

6. Your data and your customers

You own your store data and your customers' conversations. You give us permission to process them only to run Tuki for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You're responsible for telling your customers how their data is used (for example in your own privacy policy) and for having a lawful basis for any messages you send them through connected channels.

7. Third-party services

Tuki works with services you choose to connect — such as AI providers, Meta (WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram), email providers, Klaviyo and Mailchimp. Their own terms apply, and we're not responsible for their availability or actions.

8. Our rights

The app, its software and its design belong to Tuki AI. We give you a limited, non-transferable right to use Tuki for your store while you're subscribed. You may give us feedback, and we may use it to improve Tuki without obligation to you.

9. Availability

We work to keep Tuki running reliably, but it's provided "as is" and "as available". Downtime can happen for maintenance or reasons beyond our control. When the AI is unavailable, the chat still offers product matching and a contact form.

10. Suspension and ending

You can stop using Tuki at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if required by law or by Shopify. After you uninstall, your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost sales or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Tuki in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and we'll tell you about important changes before they take effect. Continuing to use Tuki after that means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law and contact
